There are so many invasives in my woodland area that it is great to know something is native! Research inspired by your post has also led me to identify another "weed" Persicaria Virginiana! YAY I have it all over my woods, and I had no idea what it was. The soil there is alkaline in many parts, so I guess it likes alkaline soil. Great post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
